Silvia Sarsano is an italian artist based in Berlin. 

Her work revolves around topics such as generational storytelling,  societal contradiction and expectations, individual and collective memory and workers’ rights, often from a female perspective.

The chosen medium is primarily painting. Using the traditional format of portrait and incorporating at times traditional handicrafts manufactures, Sarsano creates a means to bridge the gap between the bearing of memory and the reflection on the present.
